over 10 years ago, the PMI® Marketing
and Sales Specific Interest Group (MSSIG) is made up ofproject,
program and portfolio management professionals committed to promoting
the principles, methods and tools of the PMI's PMBOK®
Guide within the disciplines of sales and marketing. The purpose
of the SIG is to address the fundamental changes occurring within
the modern enterprise, especially as the customer centric forces
of the internet continue to put organizational pressure on the sales
and marketing function. Understanding that successfully providing
a product, service or result in this environment requires a commitment
to process, the Marketing and Sales SIG is dedicated to fusing the
tactical disciplines of applied project management with the strategic
needs of sales and marketing to help organizations meet these modern
"change challenges" - while providing the competitive
advantages that management and shareholders demand. |
