Information: David Hutchinson, PMP Chair A 20 year veteran of television production, sales and syndication, Dave brings a unique perspective to the project management community. In his current position, Dave is responsible for program distribution, operations and digital asset management for Program Partners, Inc., a developer-distributor of high quality television entertainment, including shows like Merv Griffin’s Crosswords, Family Court with Judge Penny and Marie (Fall 2009). His role within the organization includes expanding the reach and revenue potential of the company’s programs and brands through the various channels of the new media. Previously, Dave was Vice President of Broadband Operations for the digital music and e-commerce company ARTISTdirect, where he also served as Executive in Charge of Production for the firm’s popular “Fan Conference” series, sponsored by AT&T. In the early ‘90s Dave co-founded CityInteractive, the profitable new media division of CHUM Television (parent company of Citytv and MuchMusic in Toronto Canada), where he produced live interactive television programs sponsored by Apple Computer, Intel, Motorola and Microsoft. In addition to his duties within the Marketing & Sales SIG, Dave serves on the advisory board for ad:tech, a global digital marketing conference dedicated to the convergence of media, marketing and technology. Spotlight My Community

The transformation has begun!  All PMI Specific Interest Groups and Colleges are changing into PMI Virtual Communities. The Marketing & Sales SIG has now completed 3 of the 13 steps toward the goal of being a PMI Virtual Community by the end of 2010.

Our board’s vice-chair of finance, Karen Wang, is working with PMI to manage this project and has provided a basic Q+A, and will be updating us as the transformation progresses.
