The PMI® Marketing and Sales Specific Interest Group (MSSIG) is a component organization of the Project Management Institute. We received our charter in June of 1998 and since that time have become the focal point for the Marketing & Sales field, sharing best practices and gaining information within project management. Our MISSION is to open the channels of communication between the communities of marketing, sales and project management to accelereate the mutual goal of organizational alignment.

"New Web Seminar Program for PMI MSSIG Members and Marketing & Sales Community"
PMI MSSIG is excited to offer a new, free for members-only benefit - a year-long program of web seminars (through a partnership with Real-Life Projects, Inc.).
Non-PMI MSSIG members who are part of our Marketing & Sales Community may also participate in the web seminars with a 10% off regular webinar rates (use promo code: marketingsalespm).
These web seminars will cover a variety of topics (at least 10 over the course of the year), and will be oriented towards experienced project managers. It is hard to find good continuing-education material for experienced project managers, and these will cover topics like communicating with senior executives, strategy, and practical issues like scheduling and budgeting.
If you’re visiting us for the first time we’d like to thank you for stopping by!
In case you haven’t had a chance to look around our site, we encourage you to do so. One thing you’ll quickly notice of course is that many of our most valuable areas are for members only. Membership is only $20 dollars a year, so why not join now.

Spotlight My Community
The transformation has begun! All PMI Specific Interest Groups and Colleges are changing into PMI Virtual Communities. The Marketing & Sales SIG has now completed 3 of the 13 steps toward the goal of being a PMI Virtual Community by the end of 2010.
Our board’s vice-chair of finance, Karen Wang, is working with PMI to manage this project and has provided a basic Q+A, and will be updating us as the transformation progresses.
